bookshelves: christmas, contemporary, small-town
This was a small-town romance about two solo parents and their children. Sydney is recently divorced but finding life difficult with her ex-husband’s antics. She moves to Hopewell with her daughter where she spent so many happy times when she was a child. Mac is a local teacher and his wife left him and his son during Christmas. His son now hates Christmas, which is a source of despair to Mac who embraces the season with gusto.
Hope at Christmas was Christmas personified and it totally worked for me. It was a captivating and charming romance peopled with likeable characters with real concerns and the type of small town that’s fun to visit. This sweet romance put me in a festive mood, and I finished reading with a smile on my face. Read this one. You won’t regret it! Highly recommended.
