Merry’s friend dies leaving a young child, and Merry goes in search of the child’s father, which brings her in contact with her ex-fiancé.
This was a sweet romance and a nice, easy read with an uncomplicated plot. It was a story of reunion and second chances and family drama. The hero and heroine were both likeable and engaging, and I was happy they found each other again, although I would’ve liked a bit more time spent on them rather than the secondary characters. The story took place at Christmas time, but I didn’t find it that Christmasy and would’ve liked a little more.
If you’re looking for a quick and easy historical romance to fit in during the busy holiday season, this one might fit the bill.
